PR/Social Media Assistant
FACTEUR PR is in search of a freelance PR/Social Media Assistant to assist our studio with client-based projects from January-March 2019.
Working approximately 10-15 hours a week, the PR/Social Media specialist will report to the Founder + Director and be tasked with assignments spanning traditional media relations to digital communications, such as social media and blogging. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, has strong writing and people skills, is digitally savvy, and never misses a deadline.
Cleveland, Ohio. While most projects will be able to be completed remotely, some will require to be at our Ohio City office and on-site at events. (If you reside outside of Cleveland and meet the requirements below, you are invited to still apply.)
Assignments may include:
Media relations: research, press release writing, pitch writing, mailings, and special event staffing
Social media: research, content creation, management, scheduling, engagement
Content: copywriting, copyediting, blogging, production, web
Minimum of two years of public relations, communications, or marketing experience in an agency setting
Preferred college degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English or business
Creative thinking and doing an absolute must
Deadline-driven and welcomes the work of a fast-paced environment
Excellent writing and intrapersonal skills
Self-starting and quick learning
Interest in creative industries such as food/drink, lifestyle, health/wellness, arts/culture, design, fashion/retail
A personal computer (Mac preferred), smart phone, and access to high speed internet at home
A general understanding or willingness to gain experience using common marketing tools, such as Hootsuite, Google Analytics, MailChimp, Later, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.
Hourly and project-based.
