FACTEUR was founded in 2016 by Reena S. Goodwin, who wanted to commit to helping build brands through inspirational, obtainable, and actionable storytelling.

Goodwin began her marketing career with Sony Music in 2004 while earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Affairs Journalism at The Ohio State University before relocating to New York City, and now she calls Cleveland home. She has spent her career in integrated marketing and communications, working for and with the music, arts, culture, lifestyle, nonprofit, special events, travel, food & drink, retail, and education industries.

For more than 12 years, she's worked alongside reporters and editors at national media outlets, from Food & Wine to Forbes and Bustle to the BBC, as well as built strong relationships with local and regional media. Her digital and social media campaigns have garnered attention in USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, and more. In 2019, she launched The DIY PR Project, an online workshop for small business owners to learn how to procure their own publicity. Goodwin is also blogging evangelist and content strategist with world-class organizations like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and Columbia Records on her list of credits.

Additionally, Goodwin has presented and organized presentations at FearlessCon, SXSW, and the American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting + Museum Expo. She formerly served on the communications committee of the American Advertising Federation of Cleveland.

Throughout her career, she has been recognized by New York Times bestselling author Chris Guillebeau, Martha Stewart Living, Inc.com, PR Couture, Career Contessa, Modern CLE, Cleveland Magazine, Carnegie Mellon University, She in the CLE, and cleveland.com.

A true ENFP, Goodwin loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, enjoying live shows, DJing, reading books and blogs, writing (for fun!), trying out new restaurants, traveling, healthy cooking, staying active, and photography. A native of Cincinnati, she resides on Cleveland's east side with her husband, their daughter, and two cats.
