The 10 Biggest Lessons I Learned in 10 Years about Scaling a Business Sustainably

Ten years ago, I filed an LLC from my home attic for a new business I called FACTEUR PR. At the time, I knew a lot about PR and almost nothing about building a business.

Today, FACTEUR PR has grown into a nationally recognized, seven-figure public relations agency with a team of 12. But this episode is not about the highlight reel. It is about the lessons that came from building something over time through uncertainty, mistakes, pivots, and growth.

In this special anniversary episode of Grow Your Wellth, I share the ten biggest lessons I have learned from a decade of scaling a business sustainably. These are the insights that shaped not only how I lead, but how I think about growth, success, and building a business that can actually support your life long term.

This conversation goes beyond surface-level business advice. I reflect on the hard-earned lessons that only come from doing the work consistently over many years, especially through seasons where the path forward was not always clear.

Inside this episode, I talk about:

  • What scaling sustainably has taught me about growth and leadership

  • The lessons that came from hard mistakes and unexpected pivots

  • How my perspective on business evolved over ten years

  • Why long-term success requires more than momentum alone

Whether you are just starting your business or scaling what you have already built, this episode is designed to help you think differently about growth and what it really takes to build something sustainable.

This is not a victory lap. It is a roadmap shaped by real experience, reflection, and the kind of wisdom that only develops over time.
