Three on Thursdays: Twitter facts, Facebook filters, and more

Welcome to the third edition of Three on Thursdays, our new weekly blog series where you'll find a few of latest marketing and PR insights and tips to help grow your brand and business. Every week, we'll handpick three good-to-know tips or resources that can help educate and inspire your own efforts. Be sure to sign up for our weekly newsletter below to get these and other tips delivered to your inbox every month!

Here are this week's highlights from FACTEUR PR:

1.) Eleven things you didn't know about Twitter.

We're loving this short and snappy video highlighting a few lesser known facts and historical insights about the 140-character loving company, such as: there are as many people living in U.S. as there are active Twitter uses, and one of the possible names for the platform before it was called Twitter was, wait for it: "Friend Stalker." Check out the full clip from Mashable here.

2.) Facebook introduces Snapchat-like lenses to live videos.

Another social network has hopped on the Snapchat-hacking train. Facebook has begun to roll-over lenses in time for Halloween as part of the Facebook live feature. To activate the feature, once you're recording live, just hit the magic wand button to see the filters available to you. Not planning on using Facebook Live? You'll still notice Halloween-themed Reaction emojis this weekend, too! The full story is available from Venture Beat here.

3.) Amy Lynn Andrews' Useletter searches the Internet so you don't have to.

We are loving Amy Lynn's insightful weekly newsletter, which offers news & bite-sized tips about social media, making money online, productivity, blogging, self-publishing, and working from home. Plus, it's free! Definitely worth a subscribe. Learn more and sign up here!
